Doing the Right Thing

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. James 4:17

If you have to speak truth, confront someone who has wronged you, or need to stand up for someone hurting or give someone news you know is based on the word of God and you don't move forward to do what you know is right..the bible calls this sin. If you know you should give someone who's in need of something and you withhold it, it's sin. One huge benefit to speaking the truth is it gives birth to freedom. In John 8:32 it says " then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free."

 We all have times we have to do or say something that we know is a huge risk but it comes down to one thing and one thing alone: do I believe God's word is truth or a fable? It tests our faith also, are we willing to step out and be bold and courageous for Him for the sake of Christ? For the sake of truth?  We will only reap the benefits of the promises of God when we do. It's literally a promise!
 In Psalm 84:11 "For The Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord gives grace and honor and no good thing will he withhold from those who do what is right." 

So we ask ourselves "do we believe it?"
