My husband took this photo in Kauai, Hawaii last May and every time I view it, it speaks to me. The power of the waves , the richness of the depth of the ocean, the intriguing sounds of those waves crashing against the battered embankment of rocks. So perfectly planned by our creator, our God.
When I had the opportunity to be here for a few hours for my husband's photo shoot at this very spot, I thought of Gods love and his peace even though there was a roaring thunder of sounds every time the waves hit the rocks near us, they were controlled and steady. He does this in our lives too, He provides the strength we need. In Psalm 89:9 it says "You rule over the surging sea; when it's waves mount up you still them."
There are powerful, scary and unpredictable, hard times that even within these times we can find God as still and present with power and love in this as reaching out to us to calm the fears and quiet the waters.
In Psalms 24:1-2 it tells us " The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters."
