Steadfast

Have you ever had a word or song come back repeatedly in your mind and it becomes a 'theme' to you of what you may need to learn from or realize God is trying to tell you something? I believe that God speaks to us through his word first and foremost, but I know and have experienced he also uses people, songs, and life trials and challenges too. This word is 'steadfast'. That is the word and repeated description I am referring to coming up over and over and looked up the actual definition of 'steadfast' and it's: steadfast Definition 1.fixed in direction; steadily directed: a steadfast gaze. 2.firm in purpose, resolution, and in faith.
When you are in a boat and the waves start to get harder, stronger and more consistent, you may rock back and forth as you and tossed around that boat reaching for something, anything to grasp a hold of to keep you firmly placed on the ground of the ship. The ship's captain may decide to put the 'anchor' in the water for safety reasons. An anchor is a steadfast, reliable weight to stop the shifting winds and waves. Christ is our anchor in the storms of life, his love for you is steadfast, immovable and unchanging, no matter what the storms and changing winds carry you.

Sciptures on being steadfast
1 cor 15:18
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm, be steadfast. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
