My favorite and most comfy shoes I have ever owned. I still wear every chance I get, I pretty much live in these. I realized a few months ago my well-loved workout shoes were developing a nice little hole from my toe, a more 'worn' look and looking rather frumpy. I have picked up a couple different shoes for walking and the gym just like these to replace them but the newness of those shoes are just too stiff and not comfortable when I compare them to my beloved Nikes. Why would I ever want to leave these shoes?
Everyone likes a good pair of comfortable shoes, but we all know they did not get to that comfort level all on their own, and as a matter of fact, shoes go through a lot of hardship and trouble with you to 'break in' to get to the comfy level of shoe wearing! Stomped on, ran around, treadmill clomping, hill climbing, skipping, hiking, dancing, Zumba dancing and more.
In life we get comfortable when things are going well. We once remember trials and hardships and we were working out our salvation with fear and trembling, and we cling on more to God's word and prayer. Then as life gets easier and things that we once called trials subside, we start to sink deeper into a comfy life, like my pair of shoes and do not want to move or change, for why would we? It's nice and life is still and good and smooth.
Sometimes change is necessary for growth. If we are so comfortable, why would we be willing to make a change in our lives? We become complacent and life just starts to pass us by, opportunity and all.
