New Year, New Hope and Living life with a larger margin

The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! By His mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is His faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day. I say to myself, "The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him." Lamentations 3:22-24
This New Year's Eve my husband and I ventured on a new route from the normal and typical New Years Eve and Day path one would plan and predict. We stepped away from the "rah rah" of hanging out with our family and friends, from tuning in to view the famous ball drop at the New York City hoopla and toasting with a bottle of Martinelli's Sparkling cider and singing, "Auld Lang Syne." We headed up to a familiar cabin rental where there is no TV, no internet and bad Wifi, and plenty of skunks (so we were told) and the sweet and eerie sounds of fruit bats flying overhead at night.

It may sound to some as a dull and uneventful New Years plan but it was a nice way to reflect and refresh our end and beginning of old and new! This coming year brings opportunities for those all time famous 'resolutions". The word "resolution" means "a resolve or determination to do something". This year why not simply make a resolution to live life with a larger margin allowing more time and ability to stick to the things that are important for success. When you think of the margins on a piece of paper, a pamphlet or even on the web, there is plenty of room on each side on purpose for the words to not run off. Think of your life this way and plan accordingly in advance and on 'purpose' to not crowd your own life's piece of paper. These days this is hard we all know, but think of the time, energy and the positive trickle down effect you will have if you do!

My personal verse for 2012 is  PSALMS 90:12 " So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom"
