A Goal without a Plan is just a Wish

Big Ben, the Parliament buildings, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, oh and don't forget about the Buckingham Palace! Why is it we tend to do more, push further and attain goals easier and with more determination when we travel than we will at home? I recently was in London, England and I actually blew myself away with walking 7-10 miles a day for about 4 days! I was put in a situation where I had to get places and to walk is truly the best way to not miss things. I had goals, dreams and I had a limited time to get to those destinations, those places were on my list of "to do's" for our trip and we knew we had a limited time to accomplish them.
I believe we have to live our lives like this too, weather it be physical/fitness goals, bucket list goals or especially spiritual goals for the Kingdom of Heaven. We need a list, we need to take control of the life we have and fight the fight for success. Many, many obstacles will come into your path and try to derail you and I from achieving those goals, we have to make them priority since we really have this one life and we want to live it boldly. What goals are you lagging on, what do you want to achieve that you need to push yourself to do?
When it comes to God and living and wanting to live our lives for Him, we have to live courageously, realizing that we have an adversary who wants to defeat, discourage and detour us from living that life for Christ. Is it a dream you have of starting a Women's Ministry, a small group or going and serving the homeless, help put an end to human trafficking? We have to write down our dreams and make them goals. In Ephesians 1:18 "I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called, his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance." Do you realize how God really views you? If you and I really did understand this, we would live more dangerously for Him, and living out the goals for the gospel more than ever.
