A New Thing

I sat there with the quietness of the sound of my own breathing, I could almost hear my own heart beating. There was no TV, no cable, no powerful wifi and a really slow internet server. We have this new rental in a new town, my husband was offered a job in a new area of design, a new company, but we knew we prayed asking God to show us what is next in our lives  and then we found this scripture verse Isaiah 43:19 it says "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." This new thing was here at doorstep of my life and for our family and I am aware of it but something inside me was wanting doubt even though we felt the Lord's guiding us here. Moving can cause such a domino of effects on your life and sometimes you ask God for his will and for his direction and when we receive it we almost don't know what to do or say. It takes us trusting and moving forward.
The Lord had told us that He was going to 'do something new'. God promises to be there for us, walk with us, guide and protect us. These are promises. I choose to walk in a way believing these are true, otherwise why am I trusting him, if I don't 'believe' what he says is true. This is called faith. The road in front of me right now seems unclear to walk in with this new job and move from my familiar territory, but it doesn't mean it's wrong or not the right way to go. Life is full of choices and those who decide to trust and 'jump into the water' and live by faith and hope in God's word will be able to see his plan at the end.

10. Act on your decision (Rom. 8:28)
Psalms 84:11 is a promise.."For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord gives grace and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those who do what is right."
